Presentation

The name of the Amouriers estate has a poetic origin: in Provencal, « mûriers » (blackberry bush) is called « Amouriers ». The estate is widely planted with green oak trees and hedges of blackberry bushes, hence the name was easily found. Blackberry bush leaves were used to raise glow-worms in the silk industry.

The first vines were planted in 1928 but it is only at the beginning of the eighties that the estate grew under the leadership of Jocelyn Chudzikiewicz. Both an agricultural engineer and a passionate oenologist, he gave the domain its’ ever since lasting spirit.

After his accidental death in 1997, the estate’s managing team, now including Jocelyn’s cadet son, perpetuate a tradition of respecting nature and an ethic and perfectionism in working the vineyard and making the wines.

The excess of interventionism leading to wine standardization, we work our 24 hectares to get the purest expression of ours different “terroirs”.

In order to achieve this, we give priority to the work of the soils, we restrict the usage of synthetic products and we try to preserve the interactivity between a vineyard and its microclimate.
